ATCB and Canal Comany extend partnership
"Bundling of marketing budget is essential in 2010"
Canal Company has announced that it will continue to support the
activities of the Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board (ATCB)
as a Diamond Partner in 2010. The news follows the Diamond
Partnership Agreement that was recently signed for its sixth
consecutive year, on board the Breitner. Through the
partnership, Canal Company will collaborate in the promotional and
marketing activities of ATCB for the Amsterdam Metropolitan
Area.
Felix Guttmann, General Director of Canal Company, commented:
"To successfully promote this beautiful city it is essential that
companies bundle their budgets. By doing so, we can expect the
government to do their share too. It's vital, especially
in hard times such as these, that we invest money
in attracting visitors to Amsterdam; we cannot cut back on
marketing."

Stefan Diender, General Director of ATCB, continued: "The
contributions the business community have made to promote and
market the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is as important as ever. The
role this community plays, and more specifically that of Diamond
Partners like Canal Company, enables ATCB to realise a large number
of promotional and marketing activities. The entire tourism and
business sectors of Amsterdam and the region profit from
this."
Canal Company has been a Diamond Partner of ATCB since
2005. Diamond Partnership means inclusion on the I amsterdam Card,
in campaigns related to the theme year Amsterdam Water Sensations
2010, and the I amsterdam MICExperience. Via these services, Canal
Company reaches the tourism and business visitor, tour operators,
local and international press, meeting planners, congress
organisers and general participants.
