ATCB is the beating heart of a nearly 5 billion euro industry. Amsterdam is in the top ten of tourist cities in Europe.
Mission
ATCB is the organization in the field of tourism and
conventions in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Through promotion,
information, research and tailor-made service, ATCB stimulates
tourist and business visits and hence creates a strong
foundation for employment and prosperity in the Amsterdam
Netropolitan Area.
Strategy
ATCB initiates and stimulates innovation and product
development, employs worldwide marketing and promotional activities
via activities such as campaigns and press trips. It is also the
initiator of the Amsterdam theme years. Read more about this in the

Collaboration with partners
Together with other organizations such as
the City of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Partners, Amsterdam Cruise Port
and the Amsterdam Uitburo, ATCB constitutes the heart of the
city marketing for the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
Structure
Amsterdam Tourism & Convention Board BV is a holding
company. In this BV private limited companies have been
incorporated that each have their own functions within the various
working fields of ATCB. Read more about the organizational structure.
Areas of work
ATCB main areas of work are:
• marketing and promotion for tourism, conventions and
business meetings
• advocacy for the tourist industry and the convention-and
meeting market
• research, analysis and advice for tourist and convention
market
• initiating and stimulating of innovation and product
development of businesses and government
• making expertise available to corporations and
government
• conducting information and reception services to the visitor
(tourist offices)
• information management in the field of tourism, events and
conventions
Corporate publications
ATCB wishes to keep you fully up-to-date of all the latest
developments in the capital city. This is why we distribute several
publications (some only in
Dutch), such as our magazine Contour, event lists and the Gay
